  • May 8 and May 9: Antiques & Vintage Fair! Antiques & Vintage Fair & Market on May 8 and May 9. Join us for a weekend of antiquing and learning! Rent a table or come to buy! Featured speakers hourly from the Elkhart County Historical Museum and the Goshen Historical Society will present talks on history and antiques. Cleaning out your attic or just have too much stuff? Contact us at 848-7458 for table rental information (only $25 for both days and there are still a few tables left to rent). Hourly speakers for the Antiques Fair at the Bristol Public Library: Friday, May 8: 11:00—Jerry DeMunda: Antiques firearms with examples; Noon—Patrick McGuire:  Prehistoric exhibit highlights from the Elkhart County Historical Museum; 1:00–  Liz Fisher:  Preserving family heirlooms; 2:00–  John from Bonneyville Mill will be talking about the history of the mill.; 3:00—Phil Monteith:  What antique art prints are and where they come from with examples; 4:00—RoseMary McDaniel:  Local Bristol history Many interesting speakers are slated for Saturday, May 9 as well.  Please contact the library for more information!
  • Author Chat M.E. May and Sue Myers will be presenting a discussion on their experiences as authors, and Michele will throw in a few serial killers just for fun.

  • May 12: NEW!! Japanese Club Learn basic Japanese, prepare and eat new and interesting cuisine, and learn about another culture! Our new employee, Rachel, spent a year in Japan and has a lot to teach us about the Land of the Rising Sun!
  • May 18: Plant Swap On Monday, May 18 bring your plants, stories, folk lore, and advice to the library! Take home some new specimens to plant in your landscape or garden!
  • Preschool Storytime Daycare provider, mom, dad, or caregiver?? Bring your child to our storytime for crafts, stories, and rhymes. Let us help prepare your youngster for school! Preschool Storytime will meet on Tuesdays at 12:30. Please call to register your 3-5 yr old child.
  • Calling All Crafters will meet on Wednesday, May 13 and May 27 from 2-4 pm.
  • Jam Session Join us at the library on Tuesday, May 5 at 6 pm to make some beautiful music! We are thinking about changing the day of the week of Jam Club, so if you have any suggestions, let us know! All ages welcome! Bring your own musical instruments, or just yourself and use one of ours. Beginners are welcome.
  • June 5: Summer Reading Program Sign-Up! The theme for Summer Reading this year is Super Heroes ! We will be focusing on local Super Heroes with local special guests every week. Join the fun all summer long!
  • Book Club Strange as this Weather Has Been by Ann Pancake is a novel about coal mining in West Virginia. Stop in and pick up a copy and join us on Wednesday, May 13 at noon to join the discussion.
  • Lapsit program Join Miss Desi for stories, rhymes and fingerplays on Fridays at 11:30 am. Ages 0-36 months are welcome. Registration is not required.
  • Teen Night Teens meet on Thursdays at 6:30. Snacks will be provided. Calling all teens!
  • Lego Club We’ll have a Lego marathon Saturday, May 23!
  • Soul Ink Writers’ Group will meet at 6 pm on Wednesday, May 13 & May 27 at 6 pm. The group provides constructive criticism and empathetic support to writers at all levels. We are looking for poets. All ages and genres welcome!
