Karlene Christianson, owner of the Electric Pineapple Hair Salon, extends a warm welcome to everyone to visit her shop during the upcoming holiday season. Clients can expect good service in a festive atmosphere, where, as Karlene says, “we have a special place in our hearts for walk-ins.”

The Electric Pineapple is located at 102 N. Chaptoula Street, which is one block north of E. Vistula Street in Bristol, across the street from the Episcopal Church. The telephone number is 848-4955. More information is available on Facebook.

“Our staff has a wonderful new addition” in Joni Austin, according to Karlene. “She is blending well with the hustle and bustle of the shop.” All staff members provide a full range of services.

Hours at the shop are: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday (later hours by appointment); 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday; and 6:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Offered for the month of December is their running special, $9.00 off a color and cut combo. Year round special prices include the following: hair cut for women, $15; hair cut for men and children, $13; color, $50 and up; foils, $70 and up; wax, $7 for eyebrows and $14 for full facial; facials, $25 Signature and $35 Pineapple; manicures, $15 shellac and $25 (no acrylics); and pedicures, $25.

Some of the shop’s favorite products are Therapro (which “rocks out the dry hair blues with volume and healthy shine!”), Redken, Big Sexy, Moroccan oils, It’s a l0, and hair products by Abba and Joico.

According to Karlene “our perms are as close to natural curly hair as you’re ever going to get.” The price, which starts at $58, depends on the length of the locks.

The Electric Pineapple continues to provide wigs for cancer patients. It also participates in Locks of Love, for those who want to donate their hair.

Karlene offers the following promise and invitation to one and all: “The fun is free! You have to experience the Electric Pineapple for your holiday festivities!”
