What kind of craft show offers no up front fees to participate? A Pay It Forward One!
Art Jones of Elkhart has been battling cancer for awhile now. It doesn’t get him down though, instead he has decided to use his challenges to help others in the community.
Art is holding a “Pay it Forward Craft and Rummage Sale”. Pay it forward means to do good deeds for three people. When they ask how they can pay you back, you ask them to pay it forward to three more people. The “Pay it Forward Craft and Rummage Sale” is one of Art’s “Pay it Forward” projects.
Due to his medical condition, Art is limited on being able to work outside the home. Because of that, he has committed himself to working from home to help others. He is currently looking for people that are unemployed or struggling to join him in setting up for this event in hopes of helping them make money for upcoming winter bills.
Craft vendors and anyone that has “yard sale type items” is welcome to join.
The Pay it Forward Craft and Rummage Sale will take place at the Pay It Forward Festival in downtown Bristol at Hermance Park on October 17th from 10am – 2pm.
Food donations will also be accepted during the day to help stock local food pantries.
Registration can be done online at: Basicneedsna.net/payitforward.html or by calling Art at 574-262-1312
Deadline to register for the event is September 21st, 2009.
