On August 17 Katrina Yoder became the new permanent pharmacist at the Bristol Pharmacy, located in the Mor for Less store at 300 E. Elkhart Street in Bristol. She will be on hand every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday. She is off on Wednesday.
Katrina received her B.S. in Pharmacy from Purdue University. She comes to the Bristol Pharmacy from Goshen Hospital, where she worked in the patient pharmacy. Katrina lives in Jefferson Township with her husband, Shawn, and their son, Luke. Shawn is a supervisor at Oaklawn, Goshen.
Four other pharmacists will continue to serve at the pharmacy, where hours will remain as before, namely, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The pharmacy telephone number is 848-0660.
Roy Frank, manager of Mor for Less, is pleased to have Katrina on board at the pharmacy. The store will continue to honor the $10 Bonus Cards issued by the pharmacy. After 10 prescriptions have been stamped on a card, it is good for a $10 discount at the grocery checkout.
Katrina says her goal is to become “a community pharmacist.” She is eager to get to know her patrons, to win their trust, and to answer their questions. In doing so, she will take a holistic approach, in the realization that prescription medications are not the answer to every health problem.
In the short time she has been at the Bristol Pharmacy, Katrina says that “everyone has been very receptive.” She is quite pleased to be in her new position, saying “it’s great” and “I love it.”
