The White Daisy, Bristol’s only floral and gift shop, is now fully functional at its new location, 211 E. Vistula Street, in the former “drugstore building.”

Jenny Welch, owner and proprietor, says that renovations included painting, installing track lighting, and adding walls. She thinks customers will find it “clean, comfortable, and spacious.”

Business is “up a little” in the downtown location; word of mouth and increased traffic should help it gradually increase. The shop is open Mondays from 1 to 5 PM, Tuesday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays 9 AM to 3 PM. Call Jenny at 848-7914, or stop in to browse.

The shop will contain an art gallery, with water color paintings, stick and twig furniture from Fiddlesticks, and pottery and jewelry created by local artists. Steve Johnson will have an art studio in the rear of The White Daisy, where he will be conducting art classes on a schedule which is yet to be determined.

The east side of the building has been leased to the owners of a new Subway restaurant, which could be open before the end of summer.
